Camping

Haven't updated in a long time and now isn't the best time because I'm about to leave for camping. Everything is going well, I'm very excited for this week of camping and also excited for school to start back up at the end of the month, It keeps me busy and I always like meeting new people. Nothing special has happened lately really, pretty much the average play poker all day, stay up late, hang out with friends. I'll update more after camping. Goals for this week-- catch and eat some type of animal, possibly attempt to swim across the Mississippi river, have fun.

summertime

I've been doing a lot of stuff since my last update, mostly just having a good time. Last week I basically worked everyday since my boss was out of town. And almost everyday after work I met up with friends, started drinking, and went to summerfest. Summerfest is basically just a huge music festival that goes for 11 days at Milwaukee's lakefront, and its always a good time. I think I went five times and.. yea it was a blast. But waking up and working 5-6 hours a day and drinking and staying out till 2-3 am takes its toll. So I just took it easy for a day or two. Meanwhile, I've played very little poker since taking down the 109 and when I have played its been far from a serious grind. So today I played quite a few games and pretty much broke even for the day. But breaking even is better than losing so I'm alright with that. I don't have any plans for the rest of the month really so I'm probably going to do a variety of things like go camping and goto brewers games and just hang out with friends. Hopefully i'll get in a few games of poker and make some money in there too.

its 430am right now... so i'm gonna keep this short, but I just was having a horrible turbo night on stars but I just shipped the 109 turbo for 5k. Really happy right now

the good life

I've been a little lazy with updating the blog, pretty much just enjoying my summer. I've been playing a decent amount of poker, I've been killing the 60$ 45mans this month, and I've played more this month than I have ever before. Also, just a few days ago I had my biggest win ever just a few days ago. I took 2nd in a 5$ tourney for about 2500$ and it felt good to make such a deep run but was kinda disappointing to not finish it off and take first. Since that happened I have been kinda lazy and just messing around with poker but I'll get back to the grind soon.
Meanwhile in the real world... I've just been chillin with my friends lately. I went swimming 3 times this week which was awesome, been sippin a few brews, went to a brewers game, went camping, went fishing, went go karting, saw some people that I haven't seen since school ended, and destroyed some trivia today at buffalo wild wings. Other than poker and doing some outdoors kinda stuff, and watching sporting events, I would say a couple of things that I really like would be knowing semi-useless information like there is in trivia, and magic tricks. I really want to learn some simple magic tricks that I can show at parties and whatnot so I need to get working on that. I think I'm going to buy a book soon because I talk about it a lot and I think it would be really awesome but I barely know any tricks.
And finally, SUMMERFEST! Its basically just a huge music festival that started on thursday and goes until the 4th of july and theres always a bunch of good bands playing. Between covering a few extra hours at work and summerfest at night I don't think i'm going to play a lot of poker this week... but its not a big problem, i'm doing great so far this summer and its really not essential for me to play everyday of everyweek. Although I did feel like I was really really in the zone. I'm having a great time so far this summer and hopefully the trend will continue. Theres only a few things that I can imagine that would make it sensational but I'll work on those and give an update in a future blog. Have a good one

Whew, what a grind... 24 hours and around 550 games of 45mans 180mans and tourneys was pretty crazy but it was a great experience. I think it really helped me get better in terms of volume and ability. It started off really well but allprowi and I were struggling a bit in the middle of the day which resulted in him taking a much needed break. I ended up grinding through it and finishing all 24 hours at the end of which i think i could have kept going. Not sure exactly when it happened but I got to a point where i was beyond the sleepiness and just in the zone. I think i played well throughout the grind but my brain was barely functioning by the end. I was like a robot or a zombie. So.. pretty happy that i was able to get this done, I'm playing a little bit today but probably going to take it easy and go hang out with friends. My next goal is to reach 10k in my account which I think will happen by the end of the month. Meanwhile, life is good, I really want to go fishing and camping soon though.

24 hour grind

Really just enjoying my summer lately. Everything just seems to be going well. I've been playing a lot of poker and making a good amount lately, hopefully capping off the first half of the month in a good way by playing all day on june 16th from midnight until midnight. Its gonna be a long day and its gonna be fun. I'm quite excited to see how it all turns out. I'll update again at the end of the 24 hours.

ROAD TRIP

Its been a while since I've written a blog post and now probably isn't the best time to do so considering I'm going on a road trip in 3 hours and haven't packed anything. But... anyways... school is finally over, got pretty busy at the end of the semester even though i feel like I was slacking a lot. Had a couple good days of partying after exams were over and around the end of the night on Thursday when everyone was quite intoxicated, one of my buddies asked if anyone wanted to go on a road trip to Miami on Aunday. I said sure at the time without really thinking about it, but it actually works out perfect. Although we decided miami is too far so were heading to Georgia instead. I'm pretty excited for it, I've been wanting to do something spontaneous and different for a while so i'm glad that im able to do this.
Meanwhile, poker has been pretty rough, I had a pretty rough downswing of over 3k but I final tabled the 23$ hyper turbo for a little over $1k to help bring it back. I was on pace for platinum star this month which would be the first time ever for me, however im going to be gone until friday the 28th so that leaves me less than 4 days to get 2k points. I'll see what i can do though. I feel like I've gotten a little distracted from grinding with exam week and all that so... watch out for me in the month of June. I'm going to set a goal for june to play a certain # of games but i'm not sure what that number is yet. I do have a few plans for june like possibly another road trip and summerfest at the end of the month which could make it a little harder to reach that goal. I feel like its really going to click soon and i'll take home some wins. Thats all I've got to say for now I guess... Be back friday and I'll be grindin hard.

busy busy busy

Been really busy between work, school, poker, and partying with friends. But I think its a good thing. I can be lazy and waste a lot of time but I feel like I've been really productive lately which is a good feeling. I picked up some extra hours at work last week because my boss was out of town. I actually have made a good amount more from poker this year than I have from actually working, but I love my job so I'm not gonna quit until I'm ready to withdraw a good amount from my poker account. Poker has been great lately, I've had a +1k day for the first time ever, which is a good feeling. School has been alright, but worse than the other stuff. I'm kind of lost in terms of which direction I'm going with school, i'm doing well with school but yea... not really getting anything productive done with the classes i'm taking. And partying with friends has been great. My birthday weekend was really fun, and this past weekend was good too. I had a bonfire at my house on saturday which I really enjoyed. This is the first one that I've had since last summer, and I used to have a lot of them. We burned the dry old family christmas tree which was pretty epic, and... yea it was a good time. I'm going to try to keep up with the poker grind because things have been clicking lately, and I feel like I'm playing very well so... things will hopefully keep falling in place. Otherwise... the weather in Wisconsin has finally getting nice, and I'm pretty happy about that. I can finally do all the fun spring and summer type activities which I will probably be partaking in for a while. I'm pretty excited to go camping a lot this summer and I've already got a trip or two planned. Thats about all for this update, have a good one

zombies

Happy zombie jesus day to all. Today is easter when jesus rose from the dead so... yea zombies. More importantly, today is my 20th birthday. Its been a fantastic weekend already, and today seems like its going to continue that trend. I woke up at 1pm and I've been playing a bit of poker and tonight will be spent with family and friends. Poker has been going well lately, I really think I'm going to have a breakout day with the 180mans soon. However I doubt that the day will be this week because I'm going to be super busy. I'm going to opening day of the Brewers season tomorrow which is gonna be awesome. I love tailgating and going to brewers games and I'm sure i'll be going to a lot of games this season. Time to go enjoy the day, have a good one.

First blog

So...after a little persuasion from a friend, I've decided to make a little blog here about my life. I'm about to turn 20 years old, I'm in my 2nd year of college, I like to play poker, party with friends, and just to have fun. I like the idea of having a blog to think about what I've done recently in my life, and what I can change about it in the future. I really enjoy how my life is going right now, I don't really have any idea what I'm going to be doing like 5 years from now but I've got plenty of options. I spend a lot of time either on school or poker but I would say I'm pretty active socially. A few random things about me... I have a kinda secret passion to be a magician even though I don't know any good tricks. I watch a movie almost every night when I goto sleep so I'll probably talk about those a lot, and I'm always open to suggestions about movies to watch. I'm very optimistic and friendly so I really like testing new things at least once and I like meeting new people. I'm gonna go try to win some money playin poker and... anyone whose reading this, have a good one.
